After you’ve been beat-up as many times,
and by as many different people as Bones has,
you kind of lose count.

It all fades into a nightmarish blur
and you can no longer make out faces,
or even places,

and all the names have been forgotten.

I think many people will understand Bones feelings. As for me, I tend to forget the names of people that hurt me. They are not worthy.

Hopefully Bones has some loving memories to cherish, dear Bobby. Those who resist in bad times become the strongest and in my opinion it's good to forget and to forgive the nameless rude people ... "for they don't know what they are doing!".

mostly we tend to forget the bad folks and remember the good

I'm sure Bones memory isn't poor at all, just normal, for I'm sure he remembers the good

Seems like some of the same thoughts a professional fighter would have concerning the toll on his body and the state of his mind....James
