The twilight dies as the beams of light forces darkness back, Soft silk pillows of unfinished dreams are empty, Concrete and asphalt mark day’s path on white and black. Documents establish procedures There’s sadness over empathy, But my darkness faces the harshest cure. Darkness yields to the light; Lost to the enemy I flee till returns night. Till the darkness Again will be To hide sadness. Lost am I emotionless till my time returns Till pain and sadness my spirit smolders and burns. Gloom |

Professor, It seems forever since I've been here and poets have come and gone. It is good to see a familiar name. I hope things are well with you. Border of Darkness, a very appropriate name for which you have so aptly described in your poem. Nice pattern of poetry, diminishing in feet so smoothly through each verse until the end, where hope also seems diminished, and gloom would pervail. Sadness over Empathy... a very strong image. I've enjoyed reading you work again. Take care. A well mastered poem! miscellanea |
