Maybe I spoke too soon Maybe Cupid's venom is an elixir of the heart after all When the posturing is done When the games and bravado pass away and there alone stands a man's heart there alone stands his soul spilled out on the page perhaps then perhaps then something can begin when she says, "this is the real man" |

When the posturing is done When the games and bravado pass away and there alone stands a man's heart there alone stands his soul spilled out on the page perhaps then ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Those lines could stand alone. A very humbling poem and I liked your title too. Way to go, Martini man~ |

Thanks Blues. I like your edit, I will consider it. It does suit the title better that way. |

Perhaps then Perhaps then... I like the hope, the humility, desperation, the detachement feelings these two lines bring up. Creative title...well done. |
