Adam To Eve ![]() You open the Eden of my fullness your fingers speak through my lips I hear the thoughts of your woman and I am easy eager the consequence that lingers. Temptation combs its hair in your eyes it breathes the longing of forbidden and in it's cunning it stitches the scar secrets in your tree limbs pregnant with apples. You are the wet scissor teeth it knows my willing from taste - the liquid song of sin spilling from mouth tears of regret; It slithers through veins serpentine of us falling inside the fall. I am you in love with yourself I am you seeking your own love we are the storm not the raindrops, the wing not the feathers and while we used to cleave to unknowing it is ourselves now to which we cling. Innocence - a fragrance one cannot rebottle, so shall a clear mirror resent being polished. Hindsight is a heavy hand of a rose that embraces the thorns sharpness of a thorn that cannot comprehend the sweetness. Yea, even the hunter who has caught the shadow of the bird will never become it’s freedom. I feel the snake when I'm breathing your water and your air and I curl up in the lap of confusion to nurse at the breast of your despair. By Melissa Long-Monette |
