In the enclosing, stiffening feeling Of tightening closeness What was once only ours Gravity has taken from us Such a cruel, cruel thing All encompassing, draining This thing is so fragile This Earth, This sky, Us together tonight What a waste of time Or a life of reason A summer with no sun Or unpredictable Like the rainfall Must remember this is real And the older we get The less we feel Accept that which is no longer Embrace what doesn’t kill us As we grow stronger |

And the older we get The less we feel Accept that which is no longer Embrace what doesn’t kill us As we grow stronger I wish this was true for me... I'd run towards aging with open arms. *S* Instead... I think I feel more, live in memories and grow ever weaker. *S* But I loved this write... you give me something to wish for. *S* |
