her poor heart her heart longs for the return of soft bedroom whispers and the feel of beard stubble rashes her heart remembers sharing Sunday afternoon lemonade and his lawnmower serenades her heart dreams of dinner table laughter and popcorn movie nights with the kids. her poor heart torn and shattered at the doorway from a knock at the door and a letter. “we regret to inform you” Zeitgeist. part of the “war series” |
