I almost bought a radio
on my way
to camp

as if the score mattered
as if the war could be won
as if anyone spoke on talk radio

instead
I walked
again
into the night
on the frozen lake
to unname the constellations

but wind
made snow
feel like sand
against my face,
and the sky
felt
the sting
of stars

I would have to agree that I loved the line about unnaming the constellations.  Excellent write.

I am impressed, there is so much happening in this short poem.
It made me sad:
"as if the war could be won
as if anyone spoke on talk radio"
(brilliant - so many words, not much sense on talk shows)
and smile:
"to unname the constellations"
(what a lovely way to talk about lack of knowledge of astronomy -I always "unname" the stars :-))
The more I read it the more it makes me think of the layers of it's content. Love it.
