I reached in and tried
to grab the love lain
couldn't manage so I cried
for you to come unchain
this wall of thorns growing
thicker as I cope
for this bright heart glowing
with effort that I would hope
that you'd come set me free
from this pain and from more tears
of all I've come to be
throughout these gruesome years

Ah that old familiar tale of love beyond one's reach, and I know there are many will read who have been there, and back to see another day.
