Winter sits on trees Sunlight casting a rainbow Summer is promise ~*~ Trojan horse by sea Might blood ever course your soul Sand grains feel your weight ~*~ A garden grows to feed Living things that scamper, fly Winter comes too soon ~*~ Mourning dove coos low Her lover watches nearby Impatient squirrel ~*~ These were inspired at our poetry group tonight following a "brush-up" on haiku, then providing four photos for inspiration. Enjoy |

Nice Haikus. 2 questions - What is blook, is it a word or mis-spelling? where are the pictures you spoke of or was that for your group? Kat >^..^< To live is to love |

Kat, yes, thank you...when I let my nails grow out, it is when they are most charming that I manage my mistypes best! I thank you for your eyes. I supplied the photos to the group...but I think the Haiku stand alone. I hope. However, #2 was exceptional and I'm sure you've seen the photo from forwarded emails - it is of a driftwood horse along the beach. As it is copyrighted, I cannot place it here...but the other three photos were from my camera. ~*~ Spiros...yes, I think those were the two closest to the true form of Haiku. Thank you, my friend, for all of your inspiration. |

Sunshine- glad that I could help. I've never tried haiku but maybe I'll give it a try sometime. Kat |

Lovely, Karilea! My favourite is . . . no are . . . all of them! Giggles at the mistype - what a delightful word, "blook" - in Faith's words, there must be a poem in there somewhere! Owl |

Then, my dear, I think I shall find one! Blook, find thyself! |

Sissie...I love Haiku but find them very difficult to get just right...like a trick of light turned to just the right timing to snap the perfect photo. I enjoyed yours. |

I simply loved all of them, who doesn't love a good haiku. |

The last two are my favorite ones but they are all very, very good. Enjoyed much! There must be a poem in here somewhere. |

Very lovely. I really enjoy the visuals that haiku gives us. I think I like them better without the pictures (the way I have been doing them). Good work, Sunshine. A |

Oh my! So there really is a word, "blook" - I love it. Now, I am trying to find an excuse to use it . . . or, Karilea, perhaps I will just wait to read your poem about it! Owl |
