A Writer's Preamble

As if all of this were an endless night
a stream, a river of words
from beginning no end

stories, tales and travels
whispered words from angels
and prayers, psalms on the wind

we seek, we dream
we type with baited, nimble fingers
a soft caress, a touch for creation

words beyond us,
tales that will live
long after we and all have passed away

a silent melody
to tempt peaceful dreams
before we slumber, so sweetly

we open a book
and begin again

This is magical. I floated on clouds while reading it - each of the times I read it.

I know you said it is a writer's preamble, but if I were to find this preamble in a book in a bookshop, I would instantly buy the book without glancing at anything else within it.

May I use it in a Poetry Club I have at a children's home?
