MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB 18 February 2011 Diana has two little lambs, the fleece of the one that meows is as tortoise-shell as . . .er, well, tortoise-shells; and the fleece of the one that barks is as brown and black as brown and black. Thank you Flicka, Tigger and Daisy, for the precious, beautiful fur-babies you sent me. You chose perfectly. Cleo and Benji have my heart, along with all of you, of course, and I know that makes you whinny, purr and bark joyously for I see it daily in your exquisite sky-art messages. Owl |

I am happy, Diana, that you continue to share your heart with those who need it most. We can never stop giving ourselves to our animals - those of the past, present and future. Love this as you knew I would. Alison |

Thanks, Alison. I just needed to wait till Flicka, Tigger and Daisy found and sent me the right ones. Benji and Cleo give to me as much as I give to them and they know and love Flicka, Tigger and Daisy in spirit. I got so caught up in thanking Flicka, Tigger and Daisy in the poem, that I forgot to add the part about "and everywhere that Diana went, Benji and Cleo were sure to go!" which was the inspiration of the poem in the first place! When people ask me if I lived/live alone (except of course for between 26 October 2010 and 31 December 2010) and I answered No, I have a cat/a dog and a cat, they would laugh. I don't mind them laughing, and I sort of see the humour, but find it sad that so few people really understand that NO I DON'T live alone - because I am infinitely less alone with my fur-babies than many people are with a householdful of people - and I know you understand that perfectly, with all your beautiful babies. Yes, it would be nice to have a man around, but if he isn't the right man, that can bring more loneliness than ever. Owl |

I live alone (as they say) too, Diana with my "fur babies" and I never feel that I am alone. They need me and I need them. Ida |

Thanks for your reply, Ida. Yes, what would the world be without fur babies? Owl |

Thanks, Richy. I know all my animals currently on Earth or in Heaven, are/were very happy, and so I think they do/did feel lucky to have me, but I know that I am luckier than all of them put together. Thanks, Eric. I adore all animals – yours, your next door neighbour’s and your cousin’s cousin’s animals. They are all so easy to get on with, even the ones who don’t trust humans for whatever reason. Owl |
