FOCUS 31 July 2003 Like a tiny, furry moth to a flame in the wind I circle harmony spiralling in and out and burn with the passion of peace when it singes my soul for a gentle moment. Owl |

..this poem, Owl, shoots up to the spiritual realms, for a shared participation, in delivery (a singing together)..but, at the same time, it returns to the Acropolis, of ancient Athens and scoops up some mighty lyricism from there; i like it much..>>spiros |

WOW, Owl...you are amazing...beautiful gem you've got here. Love it! There must be a poem in here somewhere. |

I love the way you are able to go so deep without losing your readers in a tangle of useless words, Diana. Genius. Ida |

Thank you, Spiros. I love your comment, and I fell in love with Ancient Greece (and Ancient Egypt) at the age of 7, and have always loved it passionately. I met Ancient Greece in 1978 and fell in love with it more deeply than ever, but hadn’t given modern Greece a passing thought until I met it and fell madly in love with it too. I am so glad you use your real name here, and not a nom de plume, as it gives me a taste of my beloved Greece. Thank you, Faith for your lovely comments. Ida, I think that is one of the most beautiful things that has ever been said to me about my poetry – and such a poetic way of putting it. Thank you. Owl |
