There must be a ratio Of the type of events you go, Some with celebratory headings Like birthdays and weddings Then there are the funerals to attend Where we go and pretend We remember cousins rarely seen. More age sees more dying And birthdays don’t really happen Just add a year to what’s been And keep going, maybe lying Maybe not, maybe I just forgot. Once I got a letter Or a call was better Now I need to check face book If I want to get a baby look Of some grandchild of someone I know That years before I attended a wedding of barely related Now there someone more That is less than that barely related, Somehow, maybe I just forgot. |

interesting thought. The internet isolates us in some ways and in others it brings us closer to those we hardly know or only would see at a big family reunion. I liked your thinking here Peter Lori |

I still haven't figured out facebook enough to want to spend time on it...I'd rather hear a voice and an email isn't even as bad as all the unnecessary nonsense that is posted on facebook... my opinion only ![]() M |
