Hurry Up And Stop O dear poems, how you try your best to define me, with letters and spaces, that end up caging me like winds of chains that bite onto bricks. It’s not working too good so far, is it ? There’s this shortage of meanings yet to be defined, that are needed still to describe how it feels when I think of you in my arms, at night. But keep scribblin dear pen please, just keep, keep scribblin. I’m counting on you to figure this out, to help me comprehend what lies under where I stand, and to help me percieve what will be, of what I leave. Like why do we have to be separate banks of the same stream ? And why can’t I flood you with love so that we can become together, as one creek bed, both unto each other. Why can’t my god forsaken questions ever, be as simple as the answers? Like the blind man who looks at a rainbow, my soul anymore, only sees in black and white People always say, to follow your heart, maybe that’s the problem since my heart is now one big scar. I just want to be the sun that brings the ripeness to your vineyard. I want to be the sweet nectar that dribbles from your lips and drips slowly, off your chin. Let the thorns of your rose scratch my chest dear love, and rip open my breath. And drench me pure with your shadow of gold and cinnamon, in satin waves as we choke the silence out of the air till your box springs turn to summer, so loud that after, the neighbors will need to smoke. Feed me my love plump grapes as I pull the arms back of logic spanking the rationale from its stern, over and over as we tug and undulate, and flip, and fluctulate, as the moon blushes behind gleaming clouds. Its kind of funny how I’ve spent so much time swimming to you, that it wasn’t until my last breath that I realized, I maybe could have had you had I only stopped, and turned around. Before I ever drowned in my own river, I was my river. Sometimes losing a dream makes you wiser, than finding a truth. |

Sometimes losing a dream makes you wiser, than finding a truth. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All that makes me feel like I'm losing altitude. Such a beautiful, dizzy kind of feeling you make me feel. What a gift your writing is. Please don't stop. x/o |

Where are you at Bluesy, about 20,000 feet? Don't worry, I'll catch you... just like a piece of snow drifting from a dream... only thing is, I'll keep writing, but I get to keep the snowflake. Thanks dear friend, that was a very sweet thing to say. |

"Sometimes losing a dream makes you wiser, than finding a truth." Does one, can one, ever lose a dream? I think it just sits in the heart and grows until to seed it goes and then easily, so easily, sprouts up again. "Of wisdom" said the wise man, "it comes and then it goes just like a dream a dreamer dreams when all the facts unknown." Your poem is ... beautiful. Helen |

Dear Helen, that means alot from someone who's heart is as beautiful as your's. Dreams are like stars...you may never touch them, but if you follow them they will lead you to your destiny... |

I would only echo those that have come before. A most excellent read with many a fine line. I really enjoyed the way you wrapped it up. Thanks for sharing your talent with words. As I often say, "Relax, float down stream." And as a final thought, might I suggest "Goin' Down" by the Monkees. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |

I had to go back and read this again; I'm still not sure I got the entire feel of it, I may have to read it for a third time. Enjoyed this very much |

I thought that this was my favorite line: “separate banks of the same stream” until I read this: “till your box springs turn to summer, so loud that after, the neighbors will need to smoke” Then I got to the last two stanzas…(I love reading your work aloud) and you masterfully brought this write to an amazing close. Triple sigh write…enjoyed it all…hmmm…still sighing with fulfillment...I'm gonna go back to read it again (not reading so I can make a comment this time)...gonna go back for the sheer enjoyment |

Dear Richy's Pen...Please don't stop, for by defining him, I can understand more clearly, myself. |

Oh Martie, you put that so well, that is so right though isn't it. I don't even know if I care to figure out who I am, but reading your work as well has helped me see, so many things, beautiful and wondrous. Thank you for that dear friend. Richard |
