The Hallmark man visited my backyard he brought his little bag of tricks in the night, he began to flick from his little bag of treat a landscape such as would be neat to see upon a Christmas card, to see what he did in my backyard… early early this morning riser, little sleep doesn't leave me wiser but see the dreamscape set before the Hallmark man came at four and set before me such a scene yes, it was thus a vision's dream… Fall's colored leaves covered earth's floor and crystalline sprinkles covered them more with little light, the sparkling was set before my eyes, this beauty met and all I could think as I opened the door was that "the Hallmark man came the night before…" © KRJ 11-11-2000 |

A wonderfully constructed poem to compliment a wonderfully constructed work of art, Sunshine. Every line this this poem stands alone. 'Nuff said. ~ Some people are like a Slinky -- not really good for anything -- but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs. ~ |

Thank you, everyone. Don't know if you've been watching the weather, but here in the middle of the states, we've accumulated about 10" of snow since last night. There could be another 4" before it's over. Yeah. Global warming, and all. We have a great neighbor with a wonderful toy - a snow blower...ours couldn't have tackled the mess that's out there, but his can...and does! He goes up and down the street "because it's fun!" and takes care of a number of driveways. But he knows when he does ours? Reciprocation is key...fresh breads of all kind hit his doorstep! |

Sunshine, this is you at your cleverest! That Hallmark man has been working overtime this year, hasn't he? It's really brilliant, this idea of yours. To coin a phrase an old friend of ours used to use....IWIHWT!!!!! |
