the gnarled oak is old but sturdy still standing proud inspite of everything the crisp green ferns line the roadside dancing in the breeze a lone beer bottle paper bag over it's neck leans against the brush all is quiet except for the wind and the whoosh of tires on gravel when an occasional car passes by the river is glistening and gray the dock empty there is a kind of calmness inspite of natures activity where much is taking place undetected by the naked eye There must be a poem in here somewhere. |

There's something about the old oak tree with the wind blowing through it's outstreached limbs. Thanks for sharing this nice piece. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |
