Back to my roots again with paper and pen... Scratching out drawing lines and the penmanship strangely isn't mine My hand has no time to bother with flowery flow just legible enough for the keyboard it's to go Remembering subtleties of past lines of poetry the synchronicity of unintended rhymes deeper meanings between the lines even the nature of the ink's sensuous dance at the end of my pen and it feels like falling in love all over again. Lori, I sometimes read my books, old poems from other times, and here too in the archives...I sure wish I could fall in love all over again. Pretty sure those days are gone. Loved your poem! |

Ah, some say when we grow older what used to excite us doesn't anymore, we only have our memories to recall. But I know that is a damn lie. Love, or lust, or lustful love, knows no age barrier. It is still there, you just have to present yourself in the right way at the right time and hope for the best, because love does not come with a "heart-back" guarantee. ~ What's The Difference Between Roast Beef And Pea Soup? / Anyone Can Roast Beef. ~ |

passing shadows, don't be so sure, if you remember what falling in love feels like then you can feel that way any time you remember. For me the smell of ink just triggered memories of when I was young and first fell in love with writing (before PCs) ____________________________________________ Jerry, I can't imagine falling out of love with words. Can you? Even when we feel our muses have abandoned us we will wait forever for their return. Lori |
