i've often stopped
to wonder if on-line love
is really real
when all you have
are words to share
and no proof
your lover really cares

i've been proposed to
on-line to marry
men whom i've
never even seen
then there's men
just looking
for a thrill
that can always
find excitement cybering

there's no doubt
i am your lady
just like you're
my on-line man
but can we really
be in love
i ask myself
again and again

wow, I can remember some online relationships in the past, but always ended up meeting in person and either being deleted or doing the deleting LOL

don't see how one could love someone they haven't met but I guess anything's possible

heck, I met my (now) husband in 1995, and we didn't get together till 2008. I only knew him for a few months back then and he found me on MySpace.

The answer is no, Faith, you can't fall in love with someone online. You can fall in love with his jive, but the real thing is usually quite different that what they portray in these hot and heavy emails.

I have a story to tell....

My little sister, at the time was about 15. She worked on-line translating Japanese into English. Some sort of on-line comic.
Started out being about 10 teens and young adults. When the work dwindled people left, eventually leaving two. My sister, and a young man from the island of marquises.
They talked, became great friends. Yes, after 5 years they have fallen in love. They are meeting in Italy this March.
It is a wonderful love story

They send each other special things, and 'care' packages.
