I’m so separate from everyone I’m an experiment gone wrong The monster trying to understand The ways of the human she wants so badly to be “Zoom Into Me” you scream, you sing I hear your voice and I believe, I believe But faith in the invisible is a lot to ask Of someone who believes in what she can see I see pain and suffering and evil I see comfort and healing and love But I see no savior to save me from myself To save everyone else from my thoughts and my words What I have done and what I have failed to do Blasphemy Elevating you to be as my God But what is so wrong with that When your words mean more Than that Creed ever has? Your words move me to scream and cry And break out of my selfish mold Why should I not love you? You who appear the very beauty inside and out That I can never be So instead I strive to be someone You would be proud to have love you Because I have forgotten how to love God And I know for a fact you exist |

Extremely well written yearning pleading verses. Love those last two lines. The questions within are cleverly thought evoking and make the reader look for the answers. Well done!! Eric the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of reality though not beheld |

The search for identity and God and saving God can be a lifelong quest, pen&paper. I know, I spent many decades at it. I like your poem. I see your doubts. I understand. ~ Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die. ~ |

Me again. I would have never clicked on Zoom Into Me by Tokio Hotel normally. I'm an old guy, and disdain a lot of today's music. However, I wanted to find out what had prompted this very well-written, melancholy poem so I checked them out. I liked the group and the song so well I put it on my Facebook page. Thanks for broadening my life. ~ Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die. ~ |
