Dangerous Encounters Early Morn Waves caress the shoreline The Smell of the lake A Child Hands buried within the sand A cool, gentle breeze An Eagle Two vulnerable creatures Both afraid and in awe Juju This is just a story from my child hood -Juju -"So you found a girl Who thinks really deep thoughts What's so amazing about really deep thoughts " Silent all these Years, Tori Amos [This message has been edited by Juju (01-17-2012 10:46 PM).] |

Except for the confusion of this line, Juju, "Hands buried with in the sand" I completely understand this poem. Oh, I thing the line I pointed out isn't confusing after all. Maybe the line should have been read, "Hands buried within the sand." It was the separation of "with" and "in" that confused me. Sorry. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways ~*~ |

LOVE this, Juju! I can understand the fear of the eagle (although I am too stupid to understand the fear of the child) but, OH, so OH, I feel the awe and the momentary bond - as strong as steel and as sensitive as a thread of a spider's web - of the eagle and the child. How do I stop reading your poem? Did you set it on permanent repeat? Owl |
