I spoke your name aloud,
With gladness in my heart;
Your name found an echo,
And brought it back to me.

I spoke your name softly,
With all the love I have;
Your name stayed inside me,
Never to leave again.

I spoke your name to you,
You smiled that smile I love;
You spoke my name to me,
And now two names are one.

Thanks Ice. Jeez, I haven't bought a Hallmark card in . . . Can't remember when. I appreciate the thought, buddy.

There is no more beautiful love sound than to hear my name from someone's lips.

There is a great, great deal of power in a person's name.  Using it softly, and gently, and with love is one of the greatest gifts.

(how many times can I say the word 'great' in one reply? geeze use your words, nicole)

Haha! Nicole, you were only trying to make a point so even a dim-witted poet such as myself would understand it.

EmmaRose, you are absolutely correct.  To hear ones name, especially from a loved one is special. Thank you for your continued support.

This is truly delightful, dear Jerry! You caught the magic that the name of the beloved holds.

This was very sweet.
Well written, like i read in some of your other feedback, it has the makings of a cute valentines day card.

Yes it is nice to hear your name spoken by some one who loves you and you love them in return.

Well done.

*hugs*
