Snow falls around Old golden spires A sound of bells On lamp lit avenues Is that jingling spurs On wooden stairs Candles Will burn for one Who never comes Poems written And pining sung Still Vera will do With what and who Is readily near For life is short And not young for long While Aton knows The value of caviar In bringing Silk garters down . |

Love it. Short lines, short stanzas, concise and to the point. The old problem of one totally in love with love and one totally in love with lust. Great! ~ Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die. ~ |
