Nightmare descends
and she ascends
out of this mess I've been living in
somebody wake me when the daylight fades
and let the night in to seal my pathetic fate
well she shut all the doors that lead to her
and the lies that I meant and didn't mean
begin to blur

Dreamtime hideaways
but I'm not okay
I feel so messed up, today and everyday
somebody prick my fingers to bleed again
I'll search for the evidence in her slight grin
I dust for prints on my tired, stupid soul
and the stuff that falls every dark night
takes it's toll

yeah I'm burning out tonight

Well,
Fall down rain
with the window wide open
numb this pain
and let he who is without sin
and a lover or a friend
cast the first stone
you see I'm alone
all alone
And I say..

I thought I felt a ballerina twirl
but it's just an afterimage, a phantom girl
and there's a coating of pain on everyone
and the party's starting to dwindle down to one
I'm the one who's in love
I wish I could become one with her love
as I say...

and let it all turnout alright

Into the night
but I'm not okay
I'm so messed up today
maybe I'll be something else tomorrow

I have never read your work before...so glad I came across this! Your writing is magical...your words leave a sad haunting imprint upon me. Yet so beautiful at the same time...I look forward to reading more from you
