End Of The Old, Birth Of The New

I'll miss the days gone forever,
the thoughts, the loves,
the crying, those who have passed:
but most -
I'll miss those moments with you,
when I loved with every breath,
and day and night were real
because of you.

I'll reflect on the reruns
dreams will give me,
experience the emotions they provide,
and know last year, and others,
behind, are all . . .
because of you.

And tomorrow
when I get to see it all anew
may I breathe the esscence
of living, and knowing,
and being
Alive
in a New Year,
with you.
