. It’s cold we’re old And don’t want To go outside The cats sit On the window sill Content at peace Perfectly comfortable Watching the cars go by What after all Is there for us to see Not seen before In some degree Enough to know No second going Will bring epiphany Or make it somehow More worthwhile So let us here Quietly by an inner fire Make a world as if all Our better dreams came true And now all there’s left For us to do is wait again For an April moon . |
