Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2011-12-27 12:23 PM

I'm often asked
come this time of year
what I want
for Christmas
or my birthday
And I always draw a blank
There is nothing
I've had my eye on
Eventually
I remember
I can always use
some new socks
I'll take a gift certificate
from anywhere
I can buy new underwear
And I usually have
an empty bottle
of perfume....
I'm told those are
things I need
now what do I really
want
Nothing
Nothing that can be
bought
or wrapped in bows
Heaven only knows
I'm as sentimental
as they come
And I get what I
always wanted
My family happy
coming together
and having fun...
Wrapping in laughter
their priceless gift
of love

Wonderful that you have that. I am happy for you.

You have two choices in life:
You can stay single and be miserable,
or get married and wish you were dead.

I understand completely! The things I want can't be packaged and put under a tree... they can only be gathered round it.

Love is the life of the soul...
It is the harmony of the universe
