okay, maybe a big silly
the moment is gone
you're left with eggface
take-it-back-take-it-back
screaming to yourself
mortified and disgusted
helpless in wonderment
like climbing mountain's
unreachable peak alone
never been done before
almost died getting up it
but you did, but you did
pulling yourself over last
jagged rock to the plateau
you are in shock and awe
beholding the site you see
at the top of the mountain
that's never been climbed a
gaudy Best Western Motel

You use very effective imagery in this, dear Jerry. Very powerful outburst of emotions!

You tickle thoughts very well my friend.
Enjoyed the venture.

JL, although I admit that I don't often write on the funny side I thank you for accepting this as one of my attempts.

Thank you, Spiros, and yes, there is a deeper meaning.

Thanks tracie66. It's all a big joke, isn't it? Gotta love it.
