I'd Let You Know
By Larry Chadwick
Remembering Ginger Michelle born 2-19-74 died 5-18-02

If I could… I’d let you know
I haven’t forgotten.

I’ll always remember
the day you were born.

And the day you
bit your big brothers arm.

How could I forget
your first day of school?

I love to recall
your little girl charm.

Or the summer you turned sixteen
and put the car in the ditch.

I was always delighted
by your college career.

But mostly I was in awe
of the teacher you were.

And now… well now
I am better because you were my girl.

See, I didn’t forget.

November 29, 2011

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

I know the seasons come and go
and still we don't forget
you really were one lucky dad
to live without regret
children come to warm our lives
and sometimes they must go
before we're ever ready
and we don't wish it so
so now we live with memories
of all the things we've seen
and give thanks for all she did
in her time of in between.

Sorry for your loss I hope the pain is dimmed by the good memories, if not today then soon.

Nancy,
You've left me speechless. But thank you.

Kethry,
Thank you for the delightful verse and your understanding.

Lori,
You're the best! I am so happy to see you here. And thank you for your kindness.

This is so very poignant as the love connection is felt like a warm flow of energy right through the heart.

Such a beautiful touching tribute... Hugs to you, my friend. Tears may always seep out with the memories... but hopefully, smiles will join them more and more.
