the jesters at center court laugh and point gnarled fingers when I boldly declare until now I hadn't lived sufficiently oh, but I had loved . . . once not understanding what I had until the cold chill of winter's emotions blew us apart I recognize now, hopefully not too late the love word is life personified fine-tuned and souped-up as it were and life, sha is the swinging gate of immortality doubt not the Bard's slings and arrows of outrageous fortune clutch them passionately to your breasts fondle and caress them it was a photograph it was your smile within that photograph oh, that wonderful smile impish slightly out of kilter oozing sensuous implications complimenting that smile were brown eyes smiling a sensuous smile of their own you haunted my thoughts beguiled me from that day to this was reason enough for my heart to seize up like a lump of clay months would go by before we were able to cement our desire our love the world, then, stopped revolving 'round the sun time refused to move ahead it, as was I, were in limbo I heard you smiling within your soul could imagine your eyes outshining the sun as time dissolved into putty as well as my heart was this an epiphany, showing me the way into your heart? or . . . merely foolishness of age I mused of you so often though you never knew these are the words of a man quite stricken by a mere picture how can that be? utter foolishness! still . . . that was then this is now I sit before the keyboard preparing to write the enduring, unending story of Our Love ©November 27, 2011 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (11-27-2011 05:45 PM).] |

"I heard you smiling within your soul could imagine your eyes outshining the sun as time dissolved into putty as well as my heart was this an epiphany, showing me the way into your heart? or . . . merely foolishness of age I mused of you so often though you never knew" Excellent. I certainly do understand the emotion, and you did a great job putting it into words. Did I say excellent? Yeah, it is. JL Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |
