Morning was crying out
...for dawn’s first rays of light,
Yearning for darkness
....soon to take flight,
Impassioned her pleadings
...to please set me free.
Imprisoned by midnight,
....new day’s sun holds the key,
Begone eboned shadows,
...fingered scourges of night,
Smothering in black bondage,
...insidious blight,
Then on far eastern horizon,
...a faint glow disrupts
The thralldom of darkness,
...then Helios erupts,
Conquering midnight,
...who in ignominious defeat
Flees beyond western horizon
...in full blown retreat,
Morning now freed,
...rises up in radiant display,
Beholding Sun’s glory,
...beholding new day.

Very well written story of the ongoing affair with day and night.

Tim...Enjoyed this very much. I could feel the rising of the Sun and a new day dawning.
I get to experience that miracle most days since I am up before sunrise starting my work day. Thanks for sharing...Paul

Nice to see you posting Tim... and a very vivid post at that.  Loved the imagery... a nice sunrise can prove quite empowering.  You capture this well.

Glad when I wondered back within these walls this gem caught my eye. What a magnificent picture of dawn you've captured here

I am nothing special...and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me,this has always been enough.~N.S
