Miss, is there best before date
on your kisses with cream ?
and your princess’s donjons,
on your meringues in the shape of whim?
is there best before date
on your legs of gazelle
and your cheeks in cheeses,
time goes by and the vinegar
goes rancid my heart without potion,
where are your round grapefruits
your sweet apples in the toffy,
I am getting tired not to taste it
because surely there is best before date
on your vegetables of pigeon,
and on your days coated with doughnuts,
will I taste it some day, Miss,
the more I am afraid, the more I wait
the more I wait, more I am afraid,
I am afraid that there is best before date
on your courtship in disappointments,
on your courtship in promotion.
