She had her beige, raincoat on With her brown hair like the isles of the palm trees neatly bunched into a ponytail Her heels were barely 3 inches brown in color, maybe slightly red Eyelashes that touched a soft rose for the biggest lives are touched as they become the falling grace of beauties harsh reminder For the sacrifice of a newborn comes at the sake of ones beloved face The sacrifice to be something greater than yourself The beige surrender of it all the sweet turn of love that comes from a mirror and downshifts to the cries of a newborn The beauty of the nights prose the way the dark can coexist with the wind as it simultaneously renders the world around it silent That sweet tan still lingered the one she use to bask in when she was just a young woman A beige raincoat that seemingly never left her side an eyelash still lingers from those days tucked away in her bedroom drawer. |
