Dowd ~ In dismal gray of rainy day, a poppy-pinned lapel, Reminds us all of Flanders Fields, where lie the brave that fell. A time for us to honour, all those who fought and died. Their loss was mourned by families, as their nation’s peoples cried. A war is so destructive, ~ No side can truly win. Love your poem, and the poem in the video.. Reminds me of this..a question every warrior has probably asked them selves.. "How many times must the cannon balls fly , before they're forever banned." (Bob Dylan--"Blowin' in the wind" I am a pacifist, but have always honored the warriers, though not always the people that have put them in harms way, sometimes for untold, or hidden reasons. |

A very nice tribute to the fallen. One thing you pointed out, which is very true, in war not one really wins. Sure there is a winner, but the casualties surmount the title winner many times. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways ~*~ |
