Relationships age faster than dogs. Bipolar by design one moment you're smiling and the next moment you're crying From slow dancing with love's flame in our eyes, to the slow burn of heart break. Lying in bed in each others arms you never think about those pillows being cold again someday. When you feel the world is about to end you get over it and move on. The memories of the past may be triggered by a song, a certain scent of perfume, or someone saying the same thing you would say. Love is just a learning experience, there's no point in arguing and saying disrespectful things. If you can be lovers, you can be friends. I just want to say thank you to the women that loved me and allowed me to love them. It made me a better man. I hope the love I gave you made you better women. We left on good terms maybe God wanted us to continue to learn instead graduating to marriage. Some of us will cross paths again and for some the end was truly the end. Whatever the case may be I hope you're happy on the path you have chosen. Take Care |

You do demonstrate here that you have learned some lessons in love. This is most beautiful and sensitive and ... wise! Truly significant reflections. Margherita |

Love is overrated and some people have the strange feelings that it is a God-given right to love, when it is anything but. I decided not too long ago that friends are more trustworthy than lovers. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways ~*~ |

There is so much truth and wisdom in your poem, and yes there is love too. Your message is timeless and the lesson a hard one that comes from experience. It doesn't have to be a big, bad, sad, tearful emotional breakdown...your thoughts left me with that happy ending feeling. Love evolves for better for worse and we do have a say in the matter as to how we preserve the memories. I enjoyed your poem very much, thanks~ |
