I look into your hazel eyes,
And I lose myself from within,
You put me on a natural high.

You make me happy and I sigh,
I hardly know where to begin,
I look into your hazel eyes.

I almost feel that I could cry,
The feeling's ecstatic, like sin,
You put me on a natural high.

I'd like to speak, but I am shy,
So I just stand there, in chagrin,
I look into your hazel eyes.

And I'm not trying to be sly,
I feel unworthy of your grin,
You put me on a natural high.

I've walked alone beneath God's sky,
Looking at you I always win.
I look into your hazel eyes,
You put me on a natural high.

I never was any good at form poetry... you did very well with this. It's nice when you can recognize the smile in someone else's eyes.

I am reminded of a cute girl with hazel eyes.
She was Irish, and they did smile too.
