How faded are you, my rose in the stillness of an endless night shackled sitting motionless in the unseen moonlight the only sound and movement of that cursed and still beating heart deep within breathing breast no cause nor hope but within the rest and the dim light of a distant candle that warms the face of an Angel I cannot see |

Such a melancholy poem, martiniat8, but that does not take away from its absolute charm. Reading this is like watching the sun disappear behind an ominous cloud as you sit helplessly and sad. It isn't exactly Poeish, but I believe Edgar would have liked it very much. ~ Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die. ~ |
