Green is the Color of Your Eyes Your eyes are As a hint of sunset at the shoreline mixed in as watercolors dark and light blues of sky soaking in a warm tropical evening of rhyme and placid time. Or A bonfire – radiant, with blue and yellow sparkling sapphire, with whispers of a Celtic flute through tall rippling salt-grass green as fluorescence of the sea conducting its symphony in yellow and blue, silently harboring a glassy tide between horizon and dune… Green is the color of captivating, enticing, excitement, and natures lure in disguise… Yet preferred of all, green is, the color of your beautiful eyes… * * Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |

I'll go for green too. There is nothing quite as sexy as a pair of green eyes giving you that look. They will come back, come back again, |

I like how you took the beauty of color in nature and wrapped it into a delivered package of words...where you compare the outside world to what is even more important to you...The green eyed stare of someone loved, that has even more signifigance to you personaly.. " Shall I compare thee to a summer day?" (Shakespeare sonnet18) See, others have done this well also.. Very nice poem......:-) |

My green eyes have placed this on the lighted shelves in my library collection, 'cause it's a I could only wish! "The business of the poet...is to show the sorriness underlying the grandest things and the grandeur underlying the sorriest things." Thomas Hardy |
