Crying Doesn't Bring Love Back

I tried crying
and it didn't work,
it seems that love
works best when it
can come and go
as it wishes.
Being in love
is times to laugh
and times to cry,
opportunities to
stay together
and the freedom
to say goodbye.

No, crying isn't to bring love back my friend; crying is to cleanse the heart and soul, to wash away the ache so deep it can't be torn out. Crying washes from the inside, out, cleansing us to the point we can go on with only the memory; crying is similar to burying one who has passed on --- we leave them in a place of final rest - then we go on, living.

Too true... this reminds me of a favourite song - "If Only Tears Could Bring You Back". How often I've wished tears were enough to bring back love.
