            Enlightenment

Enlightenment lies …
in the tiniest whispers of the
   wilderness
amid the blissful calm and peaceful
serenity of this pathless Autumn
   forest
where ancestral spirits dance
with our weightless dreams
to the eternal song of sunset
and music of the dawn,
down the ever-rolling seasons,
through these ancient, endless
hills that talk against time
and speak of a boundless cosmos
of infinite change and wondrous
   uncertainty.

You know, Bruce, I think I'd recognize your poetry anywhere.  You are so linked to nature and the beauty and mysteries that it offers us.  Thank you for this.

"Infinite change and wondrous uncertainty"
I guess that's what keeps us hanging on and dreaming our dreams, Bruce.

Bruce, I am sure that you are sick of hearing my saying that this or that particular poem of yours is my all-time favourite of yours, but I am saying it again - this time about this poem.

This is the most beautiful tribute to her that anyone could ever write.  I know she hears it and reads it from the ether.

"Enlightenment lies...
in the tiniest whispers of the
    wilderness."
So true, and in listening to those "tiniest of whispers"
there is truth that we may follow to guide our path.
Enjoyed,
Ms. E
