Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2011-10-13 12:55 PM

As your dark would seek
the softness of my light
Our intertwining
play of smoke gray
My light illuminates you
and defines your darker side
in shadows cast
My sun rises
as your sun sets
And could you
engulf me
you would
as I should
do you as well
in the silver of an
eclipsed silhouette

Ah, yes, Lori, darkness needs the light, just as light needs some form of darkness to keep the balance. There must be balance between the two for there to be a whole. You are excellent in your choice for poetry today. Light and dark. Dark and light. Of course.

Thank you for always being so quick to respond.  Glad you liked this one...it didn't seem quite like my usual fare.

It certainly wasn't your usual fare, Lori, but I have to tell you I like this side of you.

I read alot into this one... longing from a distance... opposites complimenting one another, all beautifully done.  The desire you share in your writing is vivid.  A pleasure to read.

I love the play of light and dark intermingling. A fantastic word sculpture!
