Echoes of a Voice |

your voice undoes me, every time i knew it, alive and strong and would laugh, great gusting peals like a bell; even pooled, soflty in my ear, in the hollow curve of my neck it pulled like a river. your voice is amber, warm; it is soft stones, rounded and worn. i have gathered enough to last a lifetime, and still the dawn sees me on the banks palmed hands white fingers, splayed. i am little fishes, the green green grass awash, tangled tendrils and all |

You reminisce with a deeper passion than most people exhibit in life. It is a pleasure reading you. Michael |

Margherita - That made me smile, thank you very much! It is a joy to be back, definitely. I've been gone far too long. Michael - It will tear me apart one day, I'm afraid. Thankfully I have friends like you, and a place like this, to let some of it out. Thank you easy1 - Thank you! I appreciate that |

Fabulous description and visuals of sound, which hardly makes sense but that's what it seemed to me, I could actually see the sounds. Really nice poem~ |

Superb, but aching. Sorry for your pain. With regard to what you said above, yes, reminiscing like this has, in fact, already torn you apart - but see, you are paradoxically still very whole! I bet you wouldn't have it any other way, but to live as intensely as you do, for though the pain may be greater, the joys are more joyous and colours are brighter. Just when the pain is great (and even when it isn't) look for the joys around you though you may not see them at first (as you have done as noted above - knowing that Pip is a safe place to cry), and you will do OK! Take that from an old woman who is nearly 66! Owl |

BluesSerenade - It makes perfect sense Thank you for seeing them; I'm so glad you did. Amaryllis - And I, yours! Thank you very much Owl - I really wouldn't have it any other way; you are so right. There can't be the bright light, without some dark to allow us to appreciate what we are truly blessed with in life. I'm so touched by your reply, thank you. Angel - Thank you! |

This is really lovely. It reads effortlessly. Although, I understand that it's built on an incredible amount of emotion and time. There's no effort when reading it, to be taken right there into the heart of it. Really very lovely. "I'll tell you how the sun rose |
