Lori, I worried about getting the "mob" involved in this, but figured they wouldn't take a hit out on a guy who's already whacked. Ouch, lol. Doc JL, Lol, thanks, I done warned yuh I was back. Doc |

If I got this right ... and that's the question ... you hit the nail on the head! Capisco sempre fischi per fiaschi ... so then when doubt arises it would be wiser for me to ... "Tout ce qui nous est demandé pour réaliser notre Être véritable, c’est de faire silence. Quoi de plus facile? (Ramana Maharshi) Oh, and there is a song I didn't know and it was perfectly energizing and apt as a starter for the day Thanks for the smiles! Love, Margarita |

Margherita, I'm afraid you have me on this one, lol. Not being good at either Italian or French, if I whistle for a flask would it be easier to remain silent? Doc |

I am wrapped in it, dear Doc, I am told ever so often that I am absurd and totally crazy, but that makes me all the more vulnerable to get hold on the wrong side of the stick (that stays for "capire fischi per fiaschi)! roflmao (oh the things I learned here on Pip, you see!) Whistling in any case is still a very good idea, unless my beloved Grandmother could hear me ... she used to say: "Mädchen die pfeifen lassen sich unter die Röcke greifen!!" Don't ask me to translate this one, suffice to say that she considered it inappropriate for a girl to whistle. But I persisted, unafraid of being judged or ridiculed! I duet often with the blackbirds even now .... At least with them there is no misunderstanding, ever! Have a great day, Doc. M |

Margherita, Thanks, you have a good one too, I think your German just short circuited my translator, it said somethjing about "under skirt access" and "whistling himself", this being a family site I'm not even close to going anywhere with that, lol. Doc |

How you think out all these punchlines, Dr Moose, I don't know - but it must be great fun working backwards from them. Oh, and for the record (except that I haven't said so precisely - I didn't know it was important, but I probably have "chortled" at all of the punchlines I get). There is one I didn't get, but I can't remember which it is, but when I find it I am determined I will get it and I am sure I will chortle at that one too. I certainly chortled at this one - AND at your and Margherita's humorous conversation! Owl |

Owl, How wonderful! You just made my day, it's official folks, I have my first "chortle"! You really have no idea how much I'm going to treasure that. And as to how I come up with these, I grew up on the classic comedians of the 50's, 60's,70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's, 2010's and continue to pursue a laugh to it's last drop. You and Owl have me smiling here! Or chortling maybe? Oh, dear Doc, translators are an inexhaustible source of fun! Good for the professional interpreters that they are still extremely deficient! They certainly can give the idea though ... as yours did! Have a great week-end! M |
