.

A woman
Remembering
Playing solo
On the koto

A wooden house
With open windows
The sun shining
On amber eaves

Maple leaves
Over colored fish
Under water

Ancient rocks
The not so distant past
Set in a crimson sea

Each stanza concise and quite evocative.

Enjoyed the read,

Wow!  In my humble opinion, you have surpassed yourself with this, John.  I have lost count of the number of times that I have read this - I have no idea whether I breathed through any of the readings because I was too lost in the moment of all of it, but perhaps mostly in awe of the crimson sea.  After I have pressed Submit Reply, I know I will read it a few more times.
