Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Autumn’s arrival is foretold
In the cool of shortening days
and fall flower’s buds and blooms
Summer’s ovens on hiatus return to baking
Hot mugged tea replaces tall iced glasses
Evening sweaters come out
to watch the harvest moon rise
Sitting closer
holding warming hands
TVs talk football
stores fancy Halloween
Autumn’s arrival is foretold

Nice words to herald the coming of fall, Lori. I think most people are quite ready for the changing of the season this time around.
