Always wondering, what next, will come around the bend? Will it either tear me up or help me to mend? Is it something, I, will be happy to see or just something else to scar me for, an eternity? I plead so hard just to find a new start, to end this burden of sorrow that placates my heart. In the end, I'm always on the edge of a cliff, so full of fear, my body, rigid and stiff. Do I jump and hope to fill in that void; or do I pass it up and hope to not end up annoyed? I wish I could tell which way I should go, but in the end, I never, ever seem to know. So my heart leads me out to where I look down, if I miss this time, there will be no rebound. So here I go stepping out into the wind, hoping to fall into your arms, in the end. To lay there quietly, no longer alone, no longer will there be sins for which to atone. To be there, quietly, your head upon my chest. From this moment on, together, we'll write the rest. |
