His muse resides in shadowed realm, Where darkness rules in overwhelm, No light his world doth permeate, No haloed glow to consecrate, Within the umbra of his being, Lies no escape; there lies no fleeing, As gloaming’s chains enfold his soul, His muse; his essence swallowed whole. Yet through the darkness, splendor reigns, From the depths of suffered pains Rendering mormento mori As his muse sings forth in eboned glory.
