Must have been the thunder that woke me from my slumber The blowing tempest gave me no rest Wind chimes clanging whirligigs banging I checked the porch for damage from the wind's rampage finding blown over pots and other whatnots The weather channel is on... the orange blob is almost gone so is my cup of coffee I'm starting to get sleepy as the rain begins to slow thunder rumbling in the distance low Yawning I contemplate bed but the TV shows a line of red headed this way looks like I'm up to stay LGR(C)8/5/11 |

Bless your heart Jerry. It wasn't so bad we had to head for the storm shelter thank goodness...just some small limbs down and things blown over and about. The 4:00am part was the worst. I appreciate you being here for me Lori |

Gee, I remember weather ... seems like it's forgotten to remember us though, other than just hot and humid. Rain...what's that?? Enjoyed, j. |

That's pretty scary, Lori. Happened to me during a visit to Texas. Haven't been back. Ida |

I love summer storms in Texas. Especially when they move on and rumble in the distance. Vivid write, enjoyed. JL |

I like a plain ole thunderstorms with lots of thunder and lightning myself, I just don't like 'em in the middle of the night. I also prefer them moving off in the distance too. Thanks Lori |

When I was a child, I wondered why my Daddy would stay up and watch through the storms. Now I can't sleep through a bad one for the life of me... and miss the feeling of safety his watching gave. *S* Hope the weather settles and you get some rest! *S* |

I know what you mean, my husband is the weather guy so I never worry about it cause I know he is on top of it...chance of rain every day this week so I hope it doesn't do anything in the middle of the night again. |
