Rare Rare it is to spy Two red-tail hawks sitting near Just two posts apart ~*~ Rare it is to watch Red-feathered head eyeing me Drained feeders await ~*~ Rare it is to sense Need from a shy creature’s eyes Relying on you ~*~ Rare it is to see Speeding tires brake up sharp Untimely death – not ~*~ Rare it is to hear Heartbeats of true affection Until it was yours ~*~ © KRJ 8-3-11 |

Beautiful lines, I just can’t pick one of my favorites from these cos all are so very true and well written. Applause! "The secret behind survival of mankind is kindness and love within our hearts" |

Too many of us run through our days failing to appreciate the rarities in life. I'm glad you're not one of those people. Beautiful, as always. Michael |

Nice work, sunshine, putting the spotlight on the wildlife of America and the fact that we, as humans, owe certain ones a handout or they will starve. ~ Man who fish in other man's well often catch crabs. ~ |

I entertain myself on the long trips to Louisiana looking for hawks... I've stopped and photographed a few... but none of the pictures compare with the beauty of this... beautiful work!! |

And rare it is that there is one to notice these wonderful gifts, that are really abundant, but rarely experienced. Beautiful poem. Thank you for being Karilea and thank you for bringing these exquisite moments to us. Owl |
