You may think you're familiar with the author Swift's fine tale I which a ship-wrecked man is washed ashore like a beached whale Well folks new information has just come to light of late so I am obligated here to set the record straight It seems it wasn't Gulliver but really Balladeer who washed up on that shoreline folks just reeking of cheap beer The Lilliputians roped him down afraid that he would spew that gibb'rish he calls poetry as he is apt to do Good thing for him I came along in time to cut him loose I happened to arrive before they hung him from a noose On Lilliput, it is a crime, no way they'll stand for it When giants wash up on their shores and then try to match wits |

Had I been sipping some coffee or other beverage, it would have been all over my screen by stanza four. And the cleverness continues... 'Deer, you're up to bat. |

You got is wrong, you silly putz. They loved me, all those Lillyputs! I gave them poetry that they Said really took their breath away. They tied me down there on the shore Because they said they wanted more! They were tired of the abuse They said they got from Dr. Moose. You cut me loose and set me free Because you were afraid of me. You wanted to remain their God With poetry we all call odd. No, you don't set the record straight With all these lies that you relate. And, actually, from what I hear You ain't set nothing straight for years!! |

It' seems we'll never know for sure what Balladeer has claimed A case of he said/ he said, folks so that's a no win game Take note that he did not dispute a cheap beer-sodden state nor trying to match wits with them that's two, I'm doing great Add in my opening reference to resembling a beached whale and I would say he's missed a few small aspects of this tale But, in the greater scheme of things who knows it's early yet still, I'm a'grinnin' ear to ear an' that one's a sure bet [This message has been edited by Dr.Moose1 (07-28-2011 03:11 PM).] |

nakd, Thanks, lol, actually I guess it's more like a win/win game as long as we get some laughs out of it. Doc Ida, Thank you, best part is it's free, and there's none of those nasty side effects. Doc Shadow, Thank you, you're more than welcome. Doc |
