Frail I don't see myself in mirrors anymore My hands are wizened now Twisted and stilted like tree stumps My eyes like shards of glass My skin like glass worn down to sand I hold my granddaughter Fresh from the womb Lean into her soft new ear Tell her my secrets Tell her to never get this old * |
